"Stronger Together" Reimagined Vintage Kimono - Kimono Zulu Artist Collaboration with Mr.D 1987

Concept:

The "Stronger Together" Reimagined Vintage Kimono is a celebration of community strength and solidarity. It captures the essence of Houston's resilient spirit, turning it into a beautiful, wearable piece of art. By donning this kimono, you not only embrace a piece of Houston's heart but also carry a message of unity and support wherever you go. Adorn yourself with this exquisite collaboration and let it remind you of the power of coming together.

Inspired by the "Stronger Together" mural at Montrose Blvd. @ Westheimer Rd. in the Montrose neighborhood, which depicts two arms reaching out and clasping each other. This imagery highlights the unity and mutual aid that characterize Houston, particularly during challenging times. It stands as a powerful reminder of the strength found in community and the human capacity for empathy and support.

Handpainted and Aerosol Painted Artistic Touches: Mr. D's unique artistic style is evident in every detail of this kimono. Combining handpainted and aerosol painted elements, he infuses the piece with vibrant energy and dynamic expression. The interplay of techniques creates a captivating visual texture that adds depth and character to the kimono.

BONUS ART:

As a special token of appreciation, the buyer of this kimono will receive a signed metal print of the "Stronger Together" mural. This exclusive print serves as a keepsake, capturing the vibrant essence of the mural and the profound message of unity it conveys.
