Reimagined Vintage Kimono - Kimono Zulu Artist Collaboration with Mr.D 1987

Art meets attitude in this vibrant celebration of unity and color.

Inspired by the bold spray-painted mural by renowned local artist MrD1987, the Stronger Together Kimono brings Houston’s dynamic spirit and rich cultural tapestry to life. With every brushstroke transformed into flowing fabric, this piece captures the essence of community and resilience that pulses through the heart of the city.

Commissioned by an urgent care center located in Montrose at 3209 Montrose Blvd, Houston, the original mural is a beacon of positivity and pride — a reminder that in Houston, diversity isn't just accepted, it's celebrated. This kimono channels that energy into wearable art, blending vibrant colors, urban edge, and meaningful storytelling.

A Wearable Statement:

The Stronger Together Kimono invites you to wear your values on your sleeve — literally. Whether you're strolling the streets of Montrose or making a statement at your next creative gathering, this kimono is more than fashion. It’s a symbol of hope, strength, and the power of unity.

Artistic Techniques:
This one-of-a-kind silk furisode kimono is a living canvas brought to life through a dynamic mixed media: digital printing, aerosol spray paint, ink, stencils, and acrylic paint. Unisex, free sizing. Fits approximately a women's Medium/Large or men's Small/Medium.

Exclusive Bonus: As a special addition, the buyer of this one-of-a-kind piece will also receive a signed metal print of the artwork featured on the kimono. This unique piece adds another layer to the experience, allowing you to display the incredible artistry of Mr.D 1987 in your home or office.
