"Spring Greetings" kimono, as seen at MFAH 2026 Trunk Show

A quiet celebration of renewal, Spring Greetings is a wearable art piece by artist Ally Ham, blooming with symbolism, softness, and seasonal beauty.

Set against an earthy moss-green ground, the kimono feels deeply rooted in nature, like the first signs of life emerging after winter. Across the back, a central tree-like form stretches upward, its branches opening into soft pink cherry blossoms that feel delicate, alive, and full of movement. Spirals echo the rhythm of wind and growth, while watchful eyes suggest awareness, intuition, and the quiet wisdom that comes with change. Drops of blue fall like gentle rain, nourishing everything in their path.

The front continues the story with a radiant sun, a white dove in motion, and a geometric star, each symbol offering a sense of peace, guidance, and hope. Beneath a flowering stem, a single eye sheds a tear, reminding us that transformation can hold both beauty and vulnerability.

Handcrafted and richly symbolic, Spring Greetings invites the wearer to embody renewal, honoring the tender balance between letting go and beginning again.

Size is one size fits most; approximately a women's Small/Medium. The photos show the kimono styled with a skirt, which is sold separately.

About the artist:
Ally Ham is a self-taught artist based in Houston, TX, originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A creator with a lifelong passion for art and self-expression, she holds a bachelor's degree in art therapy—an educational background that deeply informs her creative process and artistic outlook. While Ally specializes in acrylic painting, she also enjoys exploring mixed media and collage.

Her work often explores themes of spirituality, nature, symbolism, and love. Deeply inspired by the natural world, Ally draws visual influence from both folk and tattoo art. She is currently a resident artist at Hardy and Nance Studios, where she has been creating for nearly six months.

What distinguishes Ally as an artist is her extraordinary method of painting entirely with her mouth. Born with a rare condition called Arthrogryposis, she has transformed what many would see as a limitation into a powerful source of motivation and creative expression.  Follow Ally's artwork on Instagram @allypaintsthings
